Phil Adcock

Digital Board Chair

Phil Adcock is the founder and Chief Technology Officer of Domicilium Group, a leading datacentre and network provider headquartered on the Isle of Man. He is a Non-Executive Board Member of the newly created Digital Isle of Man Executive Agency and a graduate of Lancaster University, UK, holding a Ph.D. in computer science.

Phil is a chartered fellow of the British Computing Society and a member of the Internet Society and Association of Computing Machinery.

Lyle Wraxall

Digital Isle of Man CEO

Lyle is the Chief Executive of Digital Isle of Man. He is a highly experienced management and technology consultant who has worked across the whole digital and fintech space. Most recently he was Head of the New York office for Pcubed – a significant international management consultancy practice with offices around the world.

Lyle has worked extensively with large private sector and public sector clients in London and America including RBS, Deutsche Bank, IMF, US Federal Reserve and UK Cabinet Office.

Ann Corlett

Digital Board Member

Ann is an experienced politician; her career in public service started in 2013 by becoming a member of the Douglas Borough Council, which culminated in her successful election in 2016. Since then, Ann has remained a member of the House of Keys after being re-elected in 2021.

Educated on the Isle of Man, Ann has worked in the Department of Education, Sport and Culture as well as the Department of Health and Social Care. As well as being a current member of the House of Keys, Ann currently holds five other posts, including being a Member of the Department for Enterprise.

Prior to entering politics, Ann ran a small, but successful, family catering business for over 30 years. While the catering business continues to run, Ann has since stepped back, describing the opportunity to represent the people of the Isle of Man as a MHK as a ‘real privilege and very much a full time job’!

Jaime Amoedo

Digital Board Member

Jaime is currently Country Head of HSBC Isle of Man and has 30 years of experience in the international banking industry, working in Spain, Turkey and Italy. Before HSBC, Jaime held a number of senior banking and finance roles at BNL-BNP, Grupo Ferrovial, and JP Morgan Chase. His career has been focused on supporting the growth and internationalisation of businesses, especially in the engineering, telecoms and digital industries.

He has over 20 years of experience as ED and NED in numerous boards, currently being a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement Isle of Man, as well as the Manx Wildlife Trust. He also enjoys lecturing, having been a Professor of Finance at the EOI Business School in Madrid for over a decade. 

He is also a passionate environmentalist, and the founder of PlasticBusters which counts with thousands of volunteers in 98 countries working to protect the environment

Greg Ansara

Digital Board Member

Greg is the General Manager at Derivco Isle of Man, a leading software development and IT engineering company in the Egaming industry. Derivco is based South Africa and opened an office here on the island in 2013.

Greg is a passionate technologist with a keen interest in disruption and  innovation. Greg is a people focused leader and  has 20 years’ experience in software engineering and has 15 years’ experience in the eGaming industry.

Mike Bromwich

Digital Board Member

As a technologist and entrepreneur, Mike has launched, operated and exited several innovative businesses over the course of his 30 year career. He was raised and educated on the Isle of Man, and following his degree in Information Engineering at the University of Lancaster, he returned to the Island to co-found Advanced Systems – subsequently to become Domicilium.

Mike is an expert in software and systems development, telecommunications and networking. He is a long-standing non-executive director and advisor for a number of technology businesses on the Island and overseas, and is CEO of Stacuity – a provider of software and platforms for telecoms and IoT.

Mike has broad technical expertise, proven commercial acumen, and far-reaching practical experience. He has a particular interest in supporting and advising entrepreneurs and start-up businesses to shape their technical propositions into sustainable and profitable commercial ventures.

Deb Byron

Digital Board Member

Deb Byron is Director of IT for Hansard Global plc and has played a key role in implementing secure, robust systems and developing Hansard’s award-winning online systems. Having chaired the Chamber of Commerce Digital Committee for 16 years, Deb moved to join the Board of Chamber in 2020. She is also an IOM Institute of Directors Committee member, and an IOD-certified Director, with over 38 years of ICT experience.

In 2018, Deb joined a group of influential women who working in the tech sector to form Love Tech Isle of Man. Love Tech’s aim is to inspire and empower girls to explore opportunities in STEM on the Isle of Man.

Deb also joined the IOM Hospice Technology Board in 2018. The Board oversees a number of innovative digital solutions to reduce costs and make Hospice services more effective. 

In 2019, Deb joined IOM Government’s Digital Oversight Committee which provides effective oversight of all Isle of Man Government digital programs and related processes

Greg Ellison

Digital Board Member

Greg is a seasoned senior executive with 25 years’ experience in the Financial Services sector in the UK and overseas. Greg is the CEO of Capital International Group, an investment management and online trading company with offices in the Isle of Man and South Africa. Since 2017 he has been working to build a new digital corporate bank which launched in June 2021.

Earlier in his career, Greg was the Managing Director for Barclays Wealth and led over 1,000 staff across the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey. He then spent five years with Boston Group as CEO, where he successfully spearheaded their development from a small trust company into a leading Multi-Family Office in the Isle of Man, Malta and United Arab Emirates.

Greg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, an MBA from Henley Business School, is a Fellow and Chartered Director at the Institute of Directors and completed the Corporate Valuations course at the Said Business School. Greg has twice been recognised as one of the ‘Top 50 Most Influential’ in financial services by ePrivateClient.

Lee Hills

Digital Board Member

Lee is an Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission approved director with more than 15 years’ experience in fiduciary services and gaming, specialising in licence approvals and banking solutions for egaming, blockchain and cryptocurrency businesses. 

Lee founded SolutionsHub in 2016. SolutionsHub provides unparalleled expertise with registering and maintaining crypto and blockchain businesses under the Designated Business Act and Online Gambling Regulation Act winning more than 20 prestigious awards for work in the crypto and blockchain sector.

Highlights of Lee’s career include obtaining the world’s first blockchain gambling licence and advising the Isle of Man’s first hard-capped Initial Coin Offering.  

Lee is a writer for The Capital and FX Street, as well as regular provider of thought leadership editorial for various leading publications.

Russell Kelly

Digital Board Member

Russell’s background is as managing partner of KPMG in the Isle of Man and head of the advisory practice for KPMG Crown Dependencies.  Russell has experience of providing audit and financial advisory services across a wide range of sectors.  Russell founded the eGaming team for KPMG in the Isle of Man and is a regular speaker at eGaming events.  Russell is a Chartered Accountant and has worked for KPMG in the Isle of Man, Gibraltar, London and Jersey.

Gary Lamb

Digital Board Member

Gary is Chief Executive Officer of the Manx Telecom Group, the leading telecommunications company on the Isle of Man. The Group includes subsidiaries Synapse, an IT and Managed Services provider, and OV which specialises in Internet of Things solutions to customers all around the world. 

He is Non-Executive Chairman for Strix Group plc, the global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of kettle devices and water filtration systems, and Non-Executive Director of Bladon Micro Turbines, pioneers in the design and manufacture of micro gas turbine power generation.

A qualified accountant with 25 years’ business experience in leadership roles in public, private equity and founder/manager owned companies, Gary has successfully created, built, grown and sold businesses across a range of industries, primarily technology based.

Gary is also a Director and Trustee of Motiv8, a long-established Isle of Man charity providing support to individuals and families impacted by addictions.

Katie Nicholson

Digital Board Member

Katie managed the islands Bridge Angel Network, nurturing early-stage startups to the point of being pitch-perfect; assisting with business development activities through strategic partnerships, investor relations and customer acquisition activities and creating a tight-knit community via events and networking opportunities. A qualified marketer, Katie’s skills span specialisms including software development, e-gaming and early-stage investment industries.

Katie founded Petra Consulting in 2019. Katie now works on a variety of corporate and start-up related projects and recently became co-director of Founded and Startup Grind Isle of Man. Startup Grind is the world’s largest community of startups, founders, innovators and creators. Katie believed that bringing Startup Grind to the Isle of Man would enable the entrepreneurial community to connect with opportunities on a global level.

Joanne Thurlow

Digital Board Member

Canadian born, Joanne has spent 15+ years living in multiple European countries, making Isle of Man home since early 2021.

As Head of IT for Siemens Energy, Industrial Application Solutions (SE IA), she partners with business providing strategic, innovative, cost sensitive and engineering-centric, global IT environments. As leading Energy transformation towards sustainability, SE IA engineers innovative electric, automation, and digital products, solutions and services for multiple markets including Oil & Gas, Marine, and more.

Joanne further commits her time to providing leadership, inspiration, motivation, strategic consulting, and market insights through various avenues: As a Digital IOM Executive board member; committee member of LOVE TECH (IOM), volunteers committed to promoting STEM careers for girls & young women; or as a global speaker at various conferences.

With 30+ years in Tech, Joanne has an extensive knowledge of IT. Today’s focus is on innovation, solutions, digital business transformation, IoT, tech-enabled sustainability, agile working and new organizational models.

Mark Lewin*

Department for Enterprise CEO

Mark first joined the Department in 2012 following an extensive career spanning over 25 years on and off the Island that included senior executive positions across a range of sectors including financial services, technology, hospitality, leisure and construction.

Mark has previously been the Managing Director for one of the Isle of Man’s largest banks, the head of operational strategy for a global wealth business, director of a significant pan-Island technology and change function and an independent consultant in both financial services and in technology based transformation and in his career has worked extensively in the Isle of Man, London and Channel Islands.

Mark has a breadth of experience in the Island’s key sectors, strong connections with industry and first-hand experience in implementing large scale strategies and prior to his current role Mark was the Executive Director for Government Technology Services within the Cabinet Office, the shared service for technology services and digital transformation within Isle of Man Government.

As interim Chief Executive of the Department for Enterprise, Mark instated a full strategic review of the existing structure, implementing a fundamentally different format and introducing Executive Agencies enabling them to leverage the private sector expertise and knowledge and create a partnership approach to product development, policy input, and promotion.

Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a Chartered Member of the British Computer Society, and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute with significant executive and management training and experience.

Cheryl Gleeson*

Marketing Manager

Cheryl relocated to the island in 2021 after falling for its beauty and way of life during numerous business trips over the past 10 years. 

She joined the Digital marketing team in May 2022, bringing a wealth of international marketing experience following a career spanning over 25 years that has seen her live and work in London, Dubai and Singapore.

Cheryl has completed her CIM Level 6 Diploma in Strategic Marketing and will oversee the Agency’s marketing strategy both in the Island and internationally.

Abby Kimber

Head of Strategic Partnerships

Abby is responsible for leading the strategic partnership team in partnering with businesses to facilitate their growth in the Isle of Man, as well as attracting new businesses to the Island.

Kurt Roosen

Head of Innovation

Kurt is the Head of Innovation for Digital Isle of Man, with a wide remit to champion Digital Innovation and push forward positive change. Kurt is highly experienced as an IT professional with 35 years of experience across many sectors including Banking, Retail, Manufacturing, Telecommunications and Education. Before joining Digital Isle of Man, Kurt worked at Cayman National Bank as Head of IT and before that was CEO of the Manx ICT Association (MICTA) which was the precursor to the Digital Agency. Kurt serviced on the inaugural Digital Isle of Man Board.

Kurt is a Fellow of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and served as the Chairman of their Governing Council in the UK and as a Trustee for two years. He has also been an entrepreneur on the Island, founding and running an innovative IoM based telecoms company with clients and staff all over the world in between working for two other banks in the Isle of Man in senior technical roles.

Richard Oliphant

Director Digital Infrastructure & Telecommunications

Richard joined Department for Enterpise in the December of 2018 with responsibility for the development and implementation of a National Telecommunications Strategy. 

Richard has over 20 years’ experience in telecommunications and networks as both an engineer and programme manager. This included responsibility for infrastructure support and customer service in the Governments Technology Services Division and a number of years as Head of Technology and Licensing for the Island's telecoms regulator the Communications Commission.

Nathan Lunt

Strategic Partnership Manager

Nathan relocated to the Island in 2014. Whilst visiting relatives, he developed a fondness for the Isle of Man and later seized the opportunity to call the Island 'home'.

He joined Digital Isle of Man in 2021 as part of the Strategic Partnerships team. Prior to this he spent several years working within the Telecommunications industry where he gained experience delivering outstanding service, developing robust relationships, influencing change and leading a team.

Nathan is focussed on partnering with digital businesses to facilitate their growth on the Isle of Man, as well as attracting new business to the Island.

Chris Reilly

Having spent 12 years working in the telecoms industry, Chris brings a wealth of experience in building and maintaining key client relationships. He has also managed teams in several different sectors across a range of geographical locations.

Tara Leneghan

Strategic Partnership Manager

After moving back to the Island in 2019, Tara joined Digital Isle of Man in May 2022 and is focused on working with local businesses to develop and grow, as well as attracting new businesses to the Isle of Man.

Prior to this, Tara worked within the corporate services industry, servicing a portfolio of corporate clients within fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, IP distribution, e-money services and software development & licensing. She has a wealth of experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships and working collaboratively with clients to achieve shared objectives.

Gareth Pryce-Jones

Gareth relocated to the Island in 2008 and quickly called the Island his home. Gareth joined Digital Isle of Man in May 2022 and is focused on working with local business to develop and grow and to also encourage new businesses to move to the Island.

He is excited to be part of the Digital Team and looking to ways the Island can move forward in this market.

Andrew Honour

Digital Infrastructure & Telecommunications Manager

Andrew joined Digital Isle of Man in January 2020 after a career spanning almost 30 years with Manx Telecom where he held various management positions, most recently Head of B2B Sales. Andrew is working in the Digital Infrastructure & Telecommunications team, assisting with the development of the Telecoms strategy and the implementation of the National Broadband Plan.

Sarah Ennett

Smart Island Manager

Sarah joined Digital Isle of Man in September 2020 to manage the Isle of Man Government Accelerator​ Programme for IoT (Internet of Things), the initial aims of which are to promote the use of IoT for the social and economic development of the Island. 

She has worked in telecommunications for over 23 years in several key business areas; Product Management, Business Development, Head of Retail Operations, ISP Operations and HR.  Specialising in Manx Telecom for the last 9 years on developing global M2M (Machine to Machine) and IoT solutions, she was initially business development manager then gained her product management certification with responsibility for IoT product development strategy.

Josh Kingett

Esports Executive

Josh joined Digital Isle of Man in December 2021 and holds more than 10 years’ experience within the tech sector, having worked or invested in the esports, egaming, cybersecurity, data analytics and blockchain industries.

Formerly a professional player, coach and manager, Josh founded and was CEO of professional esports organisation X7 Esports – featured across Forbes, ESI, Dexerto and others, X7 became European champions and a globally recognised broker for East Asian talent into Western franchise teams, securing several high-value transfers. Operating out of their HQ offices in Stratford, London, he was responsible for managing 42 individuals across 5 continents.

His focus with Digital Isle of Man is to accelerate growth of the local esports sector; educate businesses on how best to approach the industry; liaise with key stakeholders; create new opportunities; and to raise the Isle of Man's presence on an international stage.

Liam Slack

Esports Executive

Liam relocated from California, USA to join Digital Isle of Man in January 2022 as Esports Executive. Excited to tackle challenges from a regulatory standpoint while moving closer to family, he brings a wealth of experience to the agency having worked in the esports industry for over 7 years.

Prior to joining Digital Isle of Man, Liam helped build ground-breaking projects for some of the most recognisable names within the industry, including two Tempest Award winning events with Super League Gaming, and leading global esports initiatives for Bandai Namco Entertainment franchises including PAC-MAN, Soulcalibur, and TEKKEN.

Liam is focused on developing a vibrant esports and video games business community in the Isle of Man, creating opportunities for new and established companies, and fostering relationships with key partners around the world.

Liam Finch

Marketing Executive

Having spent over 10 years in Kuwait, Liam relocated to the Isle of Man in 2008 to complete his education and has called the Island ‘home’ ever since. 

Liam joined the Digital Isle of Man team in June of 2022 as a Marketing Executive, having previously worked in the luxury yachting, (traditional) finance, and private education industries. 

In his downtime, Liam enjoys rock climbing and is working towards becoming a rock climbing instructor in the coming years.
