Digital Isle: A day of innovation and exploration for the Isle of Man’s technology sectors

Digital Isle of Man is pleased to announce it is to host Digital Isle, an exciting new one-day event for the Isle of Man’s technology sectors on Thursday 25th November at The Nunnery in Douglas.

The aim of Digital Isle is to bring the Isle of Man’s technology sectors together to discuss topical issues locally and globally for the digital sector and where the future might lie for the Island. It will also include updates on Digital Isle of Man initiatives.

Free to attend, the event will provide a platform for all local businesses involved in the digital space to learn, share knowledge and network. It will feature a wide range of keynote speakers and presentations as well as expert panel discussions along with break-out sessions on specific topics.

The day’s content will take in all aspects of the digital industry including blockchain, esports, IoT, eGaming as well as attracting and developing digital skills and discussions on challenges facing digital businesses, such as access to banking services. Speakers will include members of the Digital Isle of Man Board, as well as key industry spokespeople from technology-focussed businesses located on the Island.

Announcing the event, Lyle Wraxall, Chief Executive of Digital Isle of Man, said, “This is an exciting learning and networking opportunity for anyone working in the digital sector to find out what else is happening in this space and to listen to key voices in the industry.

“We are working on producing a collaborative, forward-thinking event that will outline the positive steps the Isle of Man is taking to develop as a Digital Isle and provide industry with the opportunity to input into Digital Isle of Man’s forward planning, ensuring we can all contribute to our future success.”

Digital Isle will begin with a networking breakfast at 8.30am and an official welcome at 9am. Presentations will finish at 5pm with an invitation to delegates to join an eClub social get together from 5.15pm.
